Singapore, 19 Dec 2014 – SPS 2015 will see the participation of teams from Brunei. Representation by these teams will see the exchange of skill knowledge and exposure for the sport for paintball enthusiasts for both countries. These sporting interactions are made possible through a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the SPS and PANTAS witnessed by representative from the Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS). This MOU is one the several initiatives taken by the SPS which will also see the involvement of established paintball sport organizers from Thailand and Malaysia.
The collaboration brings exciting opportunities for local and overseas paintball teams, to work together with their respective local organizers on sports development and events which will bring better awareness to paintball sport. Besides collaborating to develop expertise on event organizing and related matters, the partners will also be a liaison in the provision of advice and guidance to respective local teams when they travel to play paintball overseas. Teams which travel to play overseas will be advice on existing firearms laws of partnering countries and abide to regulations when travelling with their paintball equipment.
On the partnership, Mr. Kalel Abd Rahman, President of PANTAS, expressed, “We are glad to partner the Singapore Paintball Series. The Singapore organizers have proven themselves to be one of the most promising organizers in the Asia region and through this partnership, we hope to see more Brunei paintball teams participating in the regional events and to bring back essential development knowledge back to Brunei so that we too can enjoy the sport as our neighbours.”

With PANTAS taking on the responsibility to develop paintball sport in Brunei, it is essential for all Brunei paintball teams to partner them in this pursue so as to accelerate growth for the sport.
